Office of the President

The Office of the President serves as the guiding voice and strategic heart of the College of Health Services and Careers. Here, our overarching vision for excellence in healthcare education is realized through decisive leadership, community partnership, and an unwavering commitment to student success. This office is dedicated to steering the college's mission—to cultivate skilled, compassionate, and ethical professionals ready to meet the evolving needs of our communities.

The Office of the President provides the strategic leadership for the College of Health Services and Careers. Focused on academic excellence, student achievement, and community impact, this office works to empower the next generation of healthcare leaders, ensuring our programs remain at the forefront of a dynamic and essential field.

Dr. Marcus A. Chanay, Ph.D., CFRM

President

Dr. Marcus A. Chanay, a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, is a HealthCare Professional, Higher Education Administrator, Professor, Researcher, Trainer, and Fundraiser. He is currently the President of The College of Health Services and Careers, and also the President/ Chief Operating Officer for B1 Healthcare Solutions, Inc., Dr. Chanay previously served as Vice President for Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Executive Assistant to the President for Campus Operations at Lincoln University of Missouri, Vice President for Student Services at Jarvis Christian University and Vice President for Student Life at Jackson State University. Dr. Chanay holds a Ph.D. in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University, an M.S. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University, and a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He has done further study at Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, where he holds a certificate as a Certified Fundraising Manager (CFRM), Harvard University Graduate School of Education, where he holds a Certificate from the Institute for Educational Management (IEM), and Transformation Academy where he holds certificates in Entrepreneurship and Business Coaching.

Special Assistant and Senior Advisor to the President

The Senior Advisor to the College’s President is the strategic partner, manages key initiatives, liaison between the President and Administration, provides counsel, and oversees special projects like strategic planning, college’s master plan, and governmental relations.

Institute for Public Health and Early Detection - Executive Director (Open)

The Institute for Public Health and Early Detection connects students in the health field with their community. Some of the ways in which they connect is through CPR and BLS/CPR Instructor Training. â€‹The institution also prepares middle and high school students for a career in healthcare.
